DORP visualizes a society with

and democratic in which the human beings are economically
productive and enjoy an equitable environment, where people
are valued on the basis of their work. |

The mission of
DORP is to uplift the social,
economic, environment and cultural status of the
underprivileged people through building peoples organization
and undertaking various sustainable development programs.
DORP wants to see that the
deprived people in the society, specially women, coastal
belt inhabitants, people with disability and ethnic
capacitating facilities on one side and human rights and
socio political decision making role on the other through
their initiatives, institutions and innovative methods.
To achieve the mission of DORP
services of competent professional staff/worker committed to
the goals and values of the organization are the key and
obvious requirement. DORP thus
believes in promotion and development of programs excellence
that will produce leaders, manager, catalyst and skilled
workers with competence and commitment.
Development is a complex process requiring a strong and
uncompromising dedication to learning, sharing and acquiring
of knowledge and being responsive to the needs of the poor,
children, adolescents, disabled and women,
DORP keeps a strong emphasis on
overall development in an integrated form of its program
participants and their organizations at all levels.
DORP thus engages itself in the
process of the development of human potential and capacity
development of its staff and program participants. |

DORP desires to see that people
recognize it as a holistically acting people centered
sustainable organization satisfying its mission effectively.
The sustainability means de personification of the
institution and a sound material basis for the future. The
term holistic implies mainly the farcifying of integrative
forces of different development components for synergy
effects. People centered expresses anti relief attitudes and
belief because the people feel that these have driving
forces for development. |

Annual General Meeting–2006 of DORP was held on the18th December-06 in the DORP Central Office. Various policy decisions have been taken in 7 no. Executive Committee Meeting during last year. Total 46 nos weekly meeting were held in the year 2006.
A total of 7 meetings of the EC were held during 2006 where the policy related issues of the organization were discussed, decisions given and followed up regularly to assess the implementation status of the decisions.
