  Education is the fundamental rig

Education is the fundamental right of every human being. Education has also been given due recognition in important documents like constitution of Bangladesh, UN Charters and Universal Declaration of Human Rights. In order to establish these rights into reality, DORP has been working with DNFE since 1993.

The main interventions are:
DORP has made 90,420 people literate through 3014 centers of 35 Thanas in the country during the last eleven years. DORP has been working as a torchbearer for the poor illiterate people of the country.

38,820 people from 1294 centers Under project 1, 43,050 persons from 1435 centers under project 2 and 8100 persons from 270 centers the project 3 thus a total of 90,420 illiterate person have been given basic literacy course.

DORP has established schools in the villages where there are no schools. It has established one school at Badarpur village under Mehadigang upazala of Barisal district, one school at East Hazarigang village, under Charphason upazala of Bhola district and the other one at Charbadam village under Ramgoti upazila of Lakmshipur district. At Charbadam school 70 boys and 72 girls are receiving students scholarship.

Under health project, 300 poor and meritorious students are being provided scholarship in 5 high schools of Banskhali upazala under Chittagong district.

Program of 2004

There had been 15 centers in Mithamoin under Kishorgang district from July'03 to April'04 under PLCEHD 1 (2nd phase) program of DNFE. Under this project, 900 newly literate persons were apparel skill training on different trades like fisheries, poultry, livestock and tailoring.

Ongoing Education Program:

DORP has also been monitoring NFE programs as Govt. partner under PLCEHD in Raigang Thana of Sherajganj and Raipur of Laksmipur district.
